Maha Periyava and Deivathin Kural: References

Note: This page will be updated with added content from time to time

Books on Maha Periyava were the primary sources of information for the common man. These were written by people who had interacted with Maha Periyava over a long period. Often they would have undertaken a task prescribed by him, a task that would bring benefits to the society in many ways.

It may be noted that during the past two decades, scores of devotees had talked about their personal experiences in meeting Maha Periyava. Vanathi Pathippagam, the publishers of Deivathin Kural, have brough out a series of volumes under the title "Maha Periyaval Dharisana Anubhavangal". Bulk of these experiences relate to the periods after 1960s. Stories of Maha Periyava's travels and meeting with people, his involvements in temple renovations, lending a helping hand during calamities have much to tell about the greatness of the Acharya.
