Those (sages) steeped in meditative contemplation have realized
You alone as the goddess, hidden in your own features. You alone
are the power of Parameswara. O The Controller of all! O The
One who confers mokSha! May You protect me.
100-Sl.2
(You) constitute the core strength of the gods and the
Vedas praise you. You appear in a pleasant mood in front of
the assembly of sages who have anchored You in the caves of
their hearts. O The Controller of all! O The One who confers
mokSha! May You protect me.
100-Sl.3
You are the power of the Lord and spoken of (described) variously.
O Goddess Durga! (You) are praised in the Svetasvatara Upanishad.
The ability of action and knowledge is inborn in You. O The
controller of all! O The One who confers mokSha! May You protect
me.
100-Sl.4
The words 'deva' (god) and 'atma' (self) appearing in the Kurma
(Purana) and Vayu (Purana) denote that You are the core principle
of the Supreme truth. You are renowned for cutting asunder the
bondage of the soul (i.e. cyclic existence of births and deaths).
O The Controller of all! O The One who confers mokSha! May You
protect me.

You are the essence of all knowledge in all creation (in the
universe). You are Brahman itself, being the sub-stratum of the
entire universe. You are acclaimed as the pathway to Brahman,
as revealed in the Bhagavad-Gita. You are the personification
of that Supreme divinity, come down in the form of a peahen.
O The One who confers mokSha! May You protect me.
